In the heart of the savanna exhibit at the zoo, lives a majestic Northern Giraffe named Zara, whose story has captured the hearts of all who visit. Zara arrived at the zoo as a young calf, born in a sanctuary that rescued her mother from a drought-stricken region in Africa. Standing tall with her golden-brown patches and long, elegant lashes, Zara quickly became the pride of the zoo.

One winter, Zara displayed extraordinary courage. A storm caused a large branch to fall into her enclosure, startling some of the other animals. Zara, curious and calm, approached the fallen branch, nudging it aside to reveal a small family of guinea fowl that had sought shelter underneath. Her gentle actions reassured the frightened birds and earned her the nickname “The Gentle Giant.”

Today, Zara enjoys spending her days nibbling on acacia branches and peeking over the walls to observe visitors. Children love hearing about her bravery, and she has become a symbol of compassion and strength.
